Our Team

Jordan Hammond – President
I started HC Air Conditioning in 2010 and it has been an amazing experience since that time.
A business failure when I was in my early twenties taught me many lessons which eventually led to the founding and immediate success of HC Air Conditioning in 2010.
I am driven by a desire and purpose to give others the opportunity to work and live as they were designed to.  We strive to do this at HC by having our business empower our team members personal lives, interests and purpose.  We are not close to the destination in terms of this goal but we have seen many steps

of progress and a number of wins.

I have an amazing wife, and a growing family.  I feel so blessed to be able to live and do life in a way that impacts other people and allows me to pursue my passions. I am truly undeserving of what I have been given but that is what is so awesome about the good news – We get what we don’t deserve!
Michael Ruten – BC, SK & AB Territory Rep.Mike
I started with HC in March of 2013 and I’ll be the first to admit that it was a bit of a rocky start. As the first market expansion, I was a bit of a guinea pig. More than that, it was my first experience in this field of work. I nearly quit a couple times, but I pushed on and was pushed on (Thanks Jordan!).  I couldn’t be happier that I (we) endured. I got well established in my market by the third year, and I am thrilled with the way things are going. Since joining H&C I have grown so much, both personally and professionally.  My confidence in dealing with people has improved immensely, as well as my understanding and skills in: business, sales, management and leadership.
The culture of work/life balance that H&C affords empowers me to do many of the things I love. I enjoy a lot of time with my beautiful wife Esther and our wonderful, crazy children, Autumn and Joshua and Anchor. I have been able and encouraged to pursue many of my dreams including; ministry, church involveme

nt, travel and study. I am so thankful to God for this opportunity that I have been given and look forward to the future with great anticipation. “And we know that in all things God works together for the good of those who love Him and have been called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8: 28)

Megan Ross – Office Manager

Becoming a part of the HC Air Conditioning Team back in the Spring of 2016, has been one of the best things that has happened in my life. HC Air Conditioning will now be part of my future, and long term goals. Working alongside Jordan Hammond has taught me so much, and has opened my eyes on how an effective business should be run. It truly is an honor to have such great colleagues.

In 2012, I traveled overseas to Haiti to help build The Greta Home & Academy, an orphanage for the children who were directly impacted by the devastating 2010 Earthquake. It was a life changing experience that made me realize I needed to see more of the world. 2013 rolled around and I was o

n my way to Nicaragua to deliver shoe boxes filled with toys, clothes, school supplies, and personal hygiene products to children in many villages. An opportunity I will never forget.

I truly believe we all have the power to make a difference in this world. It is only a matter of time before my next adventure. I want to make a difference. I want to have a positive impact on others. Working for HC Air Conditioning and being a part of such an amazing company, gives me the flexibility to focus on so much more than just my job in the office, it allows me to pursue my dreams long term, while spending quality time with my loved ones.
Brian Unger – Western Canadian Accounts Manager

I’m enthused to join the HC Air Conditioning team as the Western Canadian Accounts Manager. I come to this position following 26 years of pastoral ministry which I found to be fulfilling and rewarding. Many of the skills developed during my time in ministry, such as connecting with people, problem solving, building relationships, and meeting needs, are valuable assets to my position with HC. I appreciate being in a job where integrity, faith, service, and excellence are valued.

I’ve been married to my best friend Karen for over 30 years, and we have three grown daughters and a cat! I enjoy reading, cooking, coffee with friends, time with family, and hanging out with my wife!

I’m looking forward to serving well as your PTAC and A/C guy!

Jessie Magyar-Chapiel – MB & USA Accounts Manager
I am so thrilled to be starting this new adventure! I have been in the Account Management role for seven years, I am passionate about my work and love watching my business grow. After my first conversation with Jordan I knew it was an instant fit and that this was an opportunity too amazing to let pass me by. Jordan’s personal and professional beliefs align with mine and I am so excited to see what 2019 brings with H&C Air Conditioning. I am a huge sports fan, on my personal time if you can’t find me at the rink, the course or the court, I will be watching the Jets or at home spending quality time with my amazing wife and two very excitable dogs (Sniper and Blue!) I love making a difference with animals and children and my wife and I have been involved in supporting some of our amazing local charities. I believe we all have the power to make the world a better place, it just starts with doing one positive thing to help others.

We currently partner with the Watoto organization in Uganda which is rebuilding peoples lives and communities, and are happy to say that we have donated over $50000 to them since 2013. In November of 2015, 4 members of our team visited the many villages, churches, and farms in Uganda and saw first hand, the positive impact that the Watoto organization is making.

We are able to accomplish this because of clients like you! Every air conditioner purchased through H&C Air Conditioning impacts a vulnerable child or woman that Watoto is rescuing, raising, and rebuilding.
